The 5 different nozzles are easy to attach. There is a convenient storage spot on-board for each nozzle. The hose length is only 20 ft (wish it was 25 or 30 ft). There are two on-board plastic soap/ additive containers, and it is simple to switch from one to the other by turning the dispenser dial. Attaching the hose to the unit is a simple screw-on -- plastic fitting screws onto metal. This is a high-quality fitting, but would be better if it was all-metal. I have had no problems with cross-threading, however. This simple attachment is far superior to the Karcher's proprietary snap-on fitting (which is prone to leaking and breaking).
The pressure washer works very well and is very quiet. 2030 PSI is the max that I've ever seen an electric pressure washer advertise. So, this Sun Joe has the highest pressure you will find in an electric. The spray pattern is controlled by the individual inserts, going from a very powerful pinpoint to the wider-angle nozzles. The spray pattern can be horizontal or vertical (or anywhere in between) -- you can rotate the nozzles as you see fit (don't do this while it is spraying, though). It is easy to set up and operate, it is intuitive/ nothing complex, and it runs consistently. At $150, this is a bargain.
I found out AN INTERESTING FACT: I needed to use the pressure washer with an extension cord, to reach my back yard. I had a 100 ft cord already plugged in (but I only needed a 25' or 35', really), so I plugged the unit into that cord. The unit came on, but it would only pulsate. At first, I thought maybe the unit was broken. But, I did realize that I had plugged into an excessively long 16 ga extension cord -- and that might be an issue. I didn't see anything about this in the manual, but I have other equipment that specifically says not to exceed a certain length 16 gauge extension cord due to power loss.[ Note: the manual DOES say to use 12 gauge ext cord of not longer than 25 ft. It is not a very prominent warning. VERY EASY TO MISS.] So, I replaced the cord with a shorter one -- and voila! It worked perfectly. The power loss along the 16ga 100 ft cord was apparently too much for the motor to handle. (Most extension cords are only 16 gauge, but you can get 14 gauge or 12 gauge extension cords, which are more expensive.)
UPDATE: My Sun Joe was working one day, but would not turn on the next day. It gave a brief whirring sound each time I plugged it in. Apparently, the GFCI was tripping quickly each time I plugged it in. It was still under Sun Joe warranty, and Sun Joe was excellent at upholding its warranty. Sun Joe prefers to send you replacement parts or an entire new unit, rather than repair the unit at a repair shop. Sun Joe quickly sent me an entire new unit, and authorization for free return of the old unit. I now use only a 25 ft. 12 gauge extension cord, but purchased an extension for the hose. Sun Joe says that long ext. cords or smaller gauge cords can cause damage. Don't know if that's what caused my Sun Joe to stop working. But I am now rigorous about using the 12 gauge cord.
I would be careful not to force any of the threaded connections initially. New threads usually strip in the first few connections but should be less susceptible the more they are used and properly connected. The hose connections should thread together with little effort.
The quick connect for the spray wand nozzle fittings is a true press-fit that requires the minimal effort to connect. Simply pull back on the outer ring, for disconnect. Warning: the spray fitting will be launched slightly if you don't get a hand on it when disconnecting.
I filled one of the two reservoirs with an all-purpose cleaning solution labeled for pressure washers. I found that it was necessary to use a funnel to keep from spilling any. Be sure the lid is back on securely.
After connecting the hose (and turning it on) and power, it may take a little time before the water reaches the unit. Mine takes 30 - 45 seconds after first turning it on before water comes out at pressure from the wand.
I started with my composite deck which had a couple of years of dirt, grime, and mildew on it. First, I applied a little cleaning solution using the "soap" fitting. This is low pressure when using this fitting as it is just applying a wide fan of cleaner mixed with water.
Once I had the soap applied over the deck, I switched to a high-pressure nozzle. After trying all but the 0-degree, I found that the 15 degree worked best when spraying 3 - 4 inched from the deck surface. Later I found this same nozzle worked well on the windows and fairly well for removing dirt and mildew from the brick. For concrete, the zero degree was the one but the stream is thin and didn't work fast enough for me so I ordered the
Sun Joe SPX-TSN-34S Quick-Connect, Universal Turbo Head Spray Nozzle for Pressure Washers. It hasn't come in yet as I write this but it seems like it will work more efficiently (faster) for concrete after watching the demonstration video.
Once finished for the day, be sure to run all the excess water out of the pump. I did this by shutting off the water, then spraying until no more water came out of the wand.
When I know that I am done with a project and won't be using this for months to a year, I will be putting in a pressure washer pump guard like this one Karcher Pump Guard Anti-Freeze Protection for Electric & Gas Power Pressure Washers, 16oz. I don't want to pull it out to use in a year or two and have it not work because the pump seized up. In the heat of southeast Texas where I live, having it sit in a hot garage or shed all that time, seals and rings recede and valves and other fittings can corrode in the high humidity or from residual water left in the pump. This "Pump Guard" solution will keep everything protected and lubed during prolonged storage.
If I had a minor peave about this, it would be that the wand trigger tires out my hand. There is no mechanism for keeping the trigger on when not engaging it manually though there is one to keep it from engaging presumably when you are changing fittings.
With that said I would definitely recommend for most around the house projects. Only defect I've seen so far is sometimes it seems the pump stops working for a few seconds and will cause the hose to loose pressure and stutter. Doesn't happen often, nor very long, but enough for me to add to this post.
I have a cement driveway and a long cement sidewalk.
This was no challenge for this pressure washer.
Plus the price was great. Gasoline pressure washers cost 5 times or more then this one.
But I also love the fact that it's electric.
Other machines requiring gas are problematic when it comes to starting up next season if all the gas was not drained.
I'm so thrilled to have made this sound decision when purchasing.
It's not only cost effective but better for the environment and another huge plus is that it is not a huge heavy power washer.
I'm a woman of a certain age so it's important not to be so heavy. Easy to store as well.

This is not a machine for commercial use but great for a stay at home mom or just a mom pitter pattering around and wanting to get some things cleaned outside with little ease. Love how it has so many attachments to use. Neighbours commented and said what a wonderful little machine you have there. What's real fun is it even blows away leaves while cleaning.
First off, let's talk power. This bad boy packs a whopping 2030 PSI punch and a 1.76 GPM flow that left my car, fences, patios, decks, and sidewalks whimpering for mercy. The five quick-connect tips are like a superhero squad, ready to tailor the pressure for whatever mess I'm facing. And don't even get me started on the satisfaction of blasting away dirt with that high-pressure stream—pure cleaning therapy!
But now, the soap saga. The SPX3000 comes equipped with these cool detergent tanks, primed for sudsing up those stubborn spots. Sounds great, right? Well, here's where the story gets a bit sudsy. The soap application game? Let's just say it's a bit like playing with a soap bubble wand—fun, but not always effective. The soap mix sometimes felt more watered-down than a last-minute lemonade stand. It struggled to give that deep cleansing punch, leaving me needing to play soap chef and pre-treat areas manually before letting the pressure rip.
Now, don't get me wrong. This Sun Joe warrior is a beast when it comes to dirt obliteration. The quick-connect tips are like a switchblade collection for battling grunge, and the maneuverability is smoother than a dance floor. Just be prepared to bring your own soap game if you're in it for the long-haul clean.
In the grand cleaning showdown, the Sun Joe SPX3000 delivers on power, convenience, and the sheer thrill of turning your hose into a dirt-defying cannon. So, if you're willing to forgive a little soap misadventure for the sake of a sparkling kingdom, saddle up, folks. The SPX3000 is ready to roll, grime and all!
