Highly portable and exceptionally easy to use, the Porter-Cable C2002 150-PSI, Six-Gallon Oil-Free Pancake Compressor packs a big punch in a small package. The unit features upgraded packaging designed to withstand the rigors of travel. Perfect for everything from filling tires to firing nailers, this compressor features an induction motor that provides long life and optimum performance. For convenience, this efficient unit runs off of normal household circuits and offers mess-free, oil-free operation. At just 34 pounds, the C2002 is lightweight and portable enough for jobsite, workshop, or around-the-house use. This means it's a great choice for a range of jobs--everything from installing trim to inflating air mattresses. The C2002 is also powerful and efficient, thanks to its low-amp, 120-volt motor. The motor starts easily in cold weather, comes with an extension cord, and features replaceable brushes. And with 150 PSI max pressure, this motor will give you long runtime and optimum productivity. Complete with built-in automatic thermal overload protection, the C2002 runs at 2.6 SCFM at 90 PSI and 3.7 SCFM at 40 PSI for faster recharge of its six-gallon tank. At the same time, a high-flow air regulator allows more work at a higher pressure, giving you the flexibility to take on a variety of jobs. Perhaps the C2002's most important feature is its oil-free pump, which ensures you won't have to worry about oil spills or maintenance issues. The pump also extends the life of the tool and makes for clean, efficient operation. Additionally, the C2002's six-gallon pancake-style tank ensures stability and includes a water drain valve and rubber feet that won't scratch or mar wood surfaces. The compressor also features an upgraded shroud, handle, and console cover for optimum protection and portability. This replaced an 11-gallon upright Coleman compressor that lasted for 17 years. This thing is loud but works great! It is hooked up to a 25' reel that I use all over my shop. It has the oomph to fill up fast, & holds the pressure so that I can air up two vehicles’ tires without the compressor motor kicking back on. I bought this to replace a Cheap made in china model that I bought about 6 years ago. I dont use my compressor for any type of industrial work, so they have a fairly easy life. When my cheapo went the the great toolstore in the sky, I decided to get a different type, and of better quality.

My last one was a "tank" type, with two wheels and a third foot. It was nice to roll it around, but the handle was so low that it hurt my back dragging it around. This one, despite having to carry the full weight (30 lbs) is easier to move around. The handle is well designed and sturdy.

As for performance..wow. I started it and it took maybe 2 mins to get to full pressure. it shut off with the tank pressure indicator showing about 145 PSI. Is the switch off a little? Is the gauge off a little? Who cares, its 5 PSI which I will never need anyway. It has two quick disconnects so you could supply air to two different tools at once. I have pneumatic tools to drill, grind, saw, and polish. It would be nice to be able to just pick up a tool and not switch it out with one hose. In fairness, splitters are available to accomplish the same thing, but this comes with it. One less thing to worry about.

It is fairly loud but hearing protection would not be necessary unless you were in a confined space and very close to the compressor. The compressor turns off at just under 150, and will cycle back on at about 120. Despite its smaller capacity (6 gal, vs. 10) it seems to provide more air volume than my old compressor. I did all five tires on my car, then hers and it still showed 80 PSI on the tank gauge.

In closing, worth the money. The compressor has a quality feel and great performance.

Slow delivery waited alot longer than usual. It was a heavy bulky box, so kinda understandable? Compressor is exactly as promised. Works great. No complaints at all. Dont plan on painting your car, but most air tools are run nicely. Makes up air quickly. Easy to toss in truck for remote jobs. Takes little space to store.

I already had a portable compressor (Hitachi) but it was incredibly heavy to carry around to different job sites. This compressor is much lighter and still very effective. It is considerably easier to adjust the air pressure and it has two air connectors. This compressor will do all the nailing a home owner will ever want to do. I would not recommend it for spray painting but then I don't think it was created for that type of work. I was so impressed by the compressor that when I went to Saskatoon to do some work for our son, he bought a similar one as a kit...the nailer and compressor.

This is an excellent little compressor that fills its tank fast and has enough air flow for nail guns, filling tires, and can even run my rust proofing applicator (like a sprayer).

The two downsides I see:
1) it is fairly loud and vibrates like crazy when running. I avoid running it when others might be sleeping.
2) the power cord is too short. They should have put an 8' cord on this rather than the inadequate 3' cord it comes with. For now I will just keep a short extension cord always attached, when the warranty is up I will replace the stock cord with a longer one to better suit my needs.

Muy bueno, hay q apretar ciertas piezas, pero sé q son herramientas de por vida. Es el segundo compresor de esa marca q tengo además de las clavadoras, engrapadoras y pulidoras.
